National Visas - Family reunion with non-refugees

If you would like to apply for a visa for family reunion, please prepare the following documents for every applicant individually:


1.

2 filled and signed application forms for National Visas (Videx Online available on our website: https://videx-national.diplo.de/)

2.

2 biometric passport photos with a light background (please find more information here: https://tinyurl.com/y7lcjv5k)

3.

Passport + 2 copies

4.

2 copies of the passport and residence permit of the family member in Germany

5.

for spouses: birth certificate, marriage contract AND marriage certificate/registration (for marriages contracted in Yemen) ,

if the marriage should be conducted in Germany (”Eheschließungsvisum“) a certificate issued by the competent German Registry Office about the notification of marriage ( planned date , validity of the certificate)

for children: child’s birth certificate and the parents’ marriage contract AND marriage certificate/registration (for marriages contracted in Yemen).

Applicants joining their spouse in Germany: A1 German language certificate + 2 copies, unless the spouse holds a Blue Card EU or is a citizen of a member state of the EU other than Germany. Only certificates issued by Goethe Institut, telc, ÖSD or TestDaF can be accepted

7.

Children over 16 joining their parent(s) in Germany: C1 German language certificate + 2 copies, unless the parent is a citizen of a member state of the EU other than Germany. Only certificates issued by Goethe Institut, telc, ÖSD or TestDaF can be accepted

8.

Visa fee (75€ for adults, 35€ for minors. Must be paid in cash in OMR according to the current exchange rate)

9.

Please not that all documents that are not in German or English need to be provided with a translation by a certified translator into German or English.

The visa application procedure takes several weeks. Therefore it is very important to start the process as soon as possible. Additional documents may be requested by the Embassy.

10.

You need to book an appointment for a National Visa in our visa appointment booking system here: www.maskat.diplo.de/appointment . A health insurance certificate for the first 3 months must be submitted after the applicationhas been approved by the responsible aliens authority in Germany. The Embassy will inform you in due time. Additional documents may be requested by the Embassy.
